Fair funding: Garfield County Commissioner Larry McCown corrected a statement he made this week that the county fair does not receive funding through a county sales tax passed in 1996, partly for human service purposes.
McCown said after checking into the question, he found that some $17,000 a year goes to the fair from the tax.
