Garfield County, city offices closed for Presidents Day

All Garfield County and area municipal offices, including offices of elected officials and administrative departments, will be closed Monday for the Presidents Day holiday.

Staff functions that serve the community in emergency or 24-hour capacities will remain in operation as needed; however, administrative offices for these departments will be closed, according to city and county officials.

The Glenwood Springs Community Center will be open normal hours from 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. Monday.

The city’s South Canyon Landfill will also be open normal hours from 6 a.m. – 4 p.m. However, the Garfield County Landfill near Rifle will also be closed Monday.

The Rifle Garfield County Airport will be open for general aviation, but the airport’s administrative offices will be closed. For airport assistance, call 970-230-1685.

The regular Board of County Commissioners meeting will be moved to 8 a.m. Tuesday in the BOCC meeting room in Glenwood Springs.
