Crash closed I-70 Sunday evening

An accident involving several vehicles Sunday evening in Glenwood Canyon closed eastbound Interstate 70 for about two and a half hours.

At 6:55 p.m., CDOT’s Twitter account posted that eastbound I-70 was closed at Glenwood Springs because of “multiple accidents; No est time of reopening.” CDOT tweeted at 9:25 p.m. that the road was reopened.

The Colorado State Patrol said Monday that several vehicles were involved in the incident at eastbound mile marker 121 and that, while some people sustained injuries in the wreck, none was life-threatening.

Further details were not available.
