Crystal Theatre in Carbondale giving away old seats
The Crystal Theatre in Carbondale is replacing its seats, so it is disassembling and giving away the old ones on Sunday and Monday.
The existing seats will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last, the theater announced. The only pick-up times are from 8-10 p.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday.
The theater will be closed from Monday through June 22 for installation of the new seats. The plan is to reopen on June 23, but the owners are advising to call 970-963-0633 to confirm that shows will resume on that date.
No dollars that were collected in a public fundraising effort to switch to digital equipment were used for the seats, according to owners Bob and Kathy Ezra.
