Donor offers to match funds donated to RFOV

An anonymous donor has pledged to match up to $10,000 for every dollar donated or pledged to Roaring Fork Outdoor Volunteers by Oct. 31.

The RFOV Board of Directors has added another $2,000 to the challenge amount. If donors can help raise an additional $12,000, RFOV will receive a total of $24,000. The funds would pay for projects in 2013 and help the group prepare for 2014.

RFOV reports that 1,834 volunteers, including 1,101 youth, helped on 101 project days this year. Five years ago, RFOV involved 556 volunteers, including 63 youth, on 21 project days.

Donors can contribute and/or make a pledge by Oct. 31. They can do so in a number of ways:
