A follow-up discussion to the Glenwood Springs Downtown Development Authority’s recent streetscape design open house takes place at 5:30 p.m. tonight in the Glenwood Springs Library community room.

There will be plans and sketches, examples and ideas generated from the Feb. 12 session, according to a DDA news release.

The goal is to begin refining and prioritizing the design ideas that a team of consultants have been asked to develop, based on the public’s input, according to DDA Executive Director Leslie Bethel.

Recently, the organization began planning and designing several new downtown-area improvements, focusing on the north side of Seventh Street, the area beneath the planned new Grand Avenue bridge, and the portion of Sixth Street that is envisioned for redevelopment after the new realigned bridge is built.

Two design firms have been selected to further develop some of the concepts that have already been discussed.

For more information about the process or tonight’s meeting, contact Bethel at 970-384-6446.
