Fruita encouraged to send news to growing Free Press
Caitlin Row / crow@gjfreepress.com | Free Press
The Free Press wants to tell Fruita’s story.
With up to four dedicated pages of Fruita news planned each week, we encourage reader-generated submissions and news tips of all kinds.
Please note: The directions below go for all Grand Valley news as well, including Grand Junction, Palisade and Mesa County.
HAVE AN IDEA FOR A STORY?
Email Caitlin Row, Free Press editor, at crow@gjfreepress.com or call her at 970-243-2200, ext. 18603. All press releases should be sent to Row as well. Advanced notice is appreciated.
WANT TO SHARE YOUR OPINION?
Write a letter to the editor, which will be published within the Free Press weekly opinion section. Letters should be no more than 250 words, and we reserve the right to edit for length. Email letters to crow@gjfreepress.com.
HAVE AN EVENT?
Email crow@gjfreepress.com with news releases pertaining to events.
Events should also be entered in the Free Press calendar system, which lives both online and in print. To enter events into the calendar system, we ask that you head to our website: http://www.gjfreepress.com. Scroll down until you see a “Grand Junction Events” box. Then press “Add Your Event.” It will walk you through the submission process from there.
WANT TO SHARE A PHOTO?
The Free Press welcomes reader-generated photo submissions with messages of all types — announcements (engagements, weddings, births, awards, accomplishments, etc.), birthday wishes, landscape images, animals, and fun photos “just because.” Send photos with messages to bmarkert@gjfreepress.com. Snapshots will run in print and online (http://www.gjfreepress.com).
Don’t forget: Have an event, like a birthday announcement, that must run in the paper on a specific Friday? For planning purposes, the Free Press encourages all snapshots to be sent to us no later than Tuesday of the publishing week.
