Garfield Clean Energy Awards honor energy savers, innovators

The Garfield Clean Energy Collaborative is nominating 32 individuals, businesses and local governments from Parachute to Carbondale for its second annual Garfield Clean Energy Innovation Awards.

The awards event to honor clean energy achievements in 12 categories is set for 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 18, at the Grand River Health Conference Center, 501 Airport Road, Rifle. Tickets for the event are $26, and include a buffet dinner.

Keith Lambert, former mayor of Rifle and a founding board member of Garfield Clean Energy, will be the keynote speaker.



“Garfield Clean Energy recognizes the importance of energy savings in a well-rounded energy portfolio. It is our vision to become the most energy efficient county in the United States,” said Lambert.
