Garfield County government offices close for Veterans Day

Several government offices across Garfield County will be closed in observance of Veterans Day Friday.

The town halls of Carbondale, New Castle and Silt will be closed. Parachute’s Town Hall, as is usual on Fridays, also will be closed.

The city halls of Glenwood Springs and Rifle will remain open on the Veterans Day holiday.



The Garfield County Courthouse will be closed, as will all Garfield County offices of elected officials and administration.

The Garfield County landfill near Rifle also will be closed Friday.



The Rifle Garfield County Airport’s administrative offices will be closed, though the airport itself will be open.

The Bureau of Land Management’s Colorado River Valley Field Office will be closed, as will White River National Forest offices.

White River’s normal winter office hours will resume Monday. Visit http://www.fs.usda.gov/whiteriver for office hours and locations.
