Glenwood springs police report

Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

DUI, resisting arrest: At 2 a.m. on Aug. 11, police observed a vehicle in the 700 block of Colorado Avenue driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Officers attempted to contact the driver of the vehicle and he fled on foot. The driver, Luis Alfredo Lopez-Hernandez, 25, of Carbondale, was caught and signs of alcohol intoxication were noted. He was also not in possession of a valid driver’s license. Lopez-Hernandez was placed under arrest and lodged at the Garfield County Jail for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid driver’s license, resisting arrest, criminal impersonation and driving the wrong way on a one-way street.

Warrant arrest: At 2:32 a.m. on Aug. 11, police arrested Alexander Manzanares, 31, of Albuquerque, N.M., in the 800 block of Grand Avenue on an active arrest warrant.
