Glenwood Springs Police Report

Editor’s note: The Glenwood Springs Police Department reports the following incidents and arrests. Summonses or arrests merely indicate an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless found guilty in court.

His errness: At 1 a.m. on March 29, police stopped a vehicle for driving with no lights on in the 800 block of Grand Avenue. Upon contact with the driver, police detected signs of intoxication and issued a summons for suspicion of DUI to Michael Gregory Jordan, 43, of Glenwood Springs, and released him to a sober party.

Violation of a restraining order: At 7:20 p.m. on March 29, police responded to Sayre Park for the report of a man wearing camo and possessing a gun. The gun was found to be a paintball gun, but two juveniles were in possession of marijuana. One of the juveniles also had marijuana paraphernalia. Mario Jr. Ruiz-Alvarado, 19, of Carbondale, was in violation of a protection order by consuming marijuana. All three were issued summonses and released.
