Grand Mesa’s Powderhorn Mountain Resort boasted bluebird conditions and plenty of new snow Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 1-2 — the sun was out, temperatures hovered in the 20s, and there wasn’t a long lift line in sight.

“We have the best conditions of the season happening right now,” a recent Powderhorn Facebook post said.

According to Grand Junction photographer Lee Gelatt, Saturday at the ‘Horn was major fun, full of skiing “with friends into and out of the clouds!”
