Gondola launches daily service Saturday

The Silver Queen Gondola on Aspen Mountain resumes daily service starting today.

The gondola will run through Sept. 2 until it returns to weekends-only Sept. 7-29.

The gondola offers a 14-minute ride to the top of Aspen Mountain, where lunch is available at the Sundeck.

On Saturdays, starting today and running through Aug. 31, Aspen Musical Festival students will perform for free starting at 1 p.m.

Bluegrass Sundays will be from noon to 3 p.m. at the Sundeck.

The lineup includes the following:

June 16 — James Ream and the Barnstormers

June 25 — Blue Canyon Boys

June 30 — Straygrass

July 7 — Dead Winter Carpenters

July 14 — Red Molly

July 21 — Free People

July 28 — Shook Twins

Aug. 4 — Old Town Pickers

Aug. 11 — Waiting on Trial

Aug. 18 — Honey Don’t

Aug. 25 — Cottonwood Acoustic

Sept. 1 — Smuggler Mountain Boys
