Government offices closed for Memorial Day

Local, state and federal government offices will be closed for the Memorial Day holiday on Monday, May 25, including Garfield County and city of Glenwood Springs.

All county offices of elected officials and administrative departments will be closed, but 24-hour emergency services will continue to be staffed and operational. The administrative offices of those departments will be closed.

The West Garfield County Landfill will also be closed, and the Rifle Garfield County Airport will be open for general aviation, weather permitting, although the airport’s administrative offices will be closed.

Monday is also a bank holiday, and post offices will be closed as well.
