Mountain Family Health Centers hosts its grand opening at 11:30 a.m. Monday for the new, larger Basalt Integrated Health Center, located at 123 Emma Road.

The day will include a formal welcome and tours at 11:30, special presentations for the noon ribbon-cutting, and a lunch reception and more tours from 12:30-1:30 p.m.

The new Basalt clinic, located across Colorado Highway 82 from the old location on Cody Lane, will focus on providing primary, behavioral health and dental care to low-income valley residents. The much larger facility will allow the clinic to double the number of patients it serves.
