Half-naked man arrested

Garfield County deputies arrested a half-naked man earlier this week who threatened three people in the Thompson Creek area on Sunday, according to police documents.

Jacob Hadar, 34, was arrested about 9:30 p.m. Monday, though he was not cooperative with deputies and it took time to determine his identity, Pitkin County Sheriff’s Deputy Monique Merritt said Wednesday.

According to a Glenwood Springs resident, Hadar allegedly threatened to kill her and her husband, then jumped into the back of their pickup truck as they tried to leave the area. Hadar, who was wearing only thermal bottoms, also used a sign post to break out a window in another man’s vehicle, the woman said.

He was charged with assaulting a police officer with a hazardous material, resisting arrest, obstructing a highway, felony menacing and criminal mischief, according to a Garfield County Sheriff’s Office booking sheet. More information about the arrest was not available Thursday.
