The town of New Castle celebrated its 125 anniversary with a historical parade on Saturday. Included among the honored guests were members of the Ute people including Roland McCook from Montrose, and formerly of Fort Duchesne, Utah on the Uintah and Ouray Reservation. McCook is the great, great grandson of Chipeta, of the Uncompahgre Ute Tribe, who died in 1924. Also featured in the parade were more than 100 members of the Westernaires equestrian riders.
