“Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” — Matthew 18:19-20
I don’t usually quote the Bible but these words are packed with so much power and truth that I wanted to use this quote to set the tone for this column. I think we all have instances where we have witnessed the truth of these words. I know I have had several occasions to be witness of this truth and recently in a very miraculous way.
The son of a dear friend of mine has been in a coma for over a week. It has been questionable whether or not he would live and as you can imagine a terrifying situation for her and the family. In spite of this, being the spiritual warrior and loving mother that she is and knowing the power of intention, she put out a request to friends for prayers, love and healing as she stands steady by his bed.
This request by my friend as well as requests from her son’s multitude of friends went out to an astonishing number of people. Prayers, visualizations for his healing and wholeness, Reiki, positive energy all went out to the field of potentiality and infinite possibilities. Everyone held the same vision for his full recovery and put full attention on this vision.
A few times in my life I have felt in my body, in my psyche, in my soul and spirit the immensity of the energy generated this past week. It is palpable and ever-present. I could feel the ‘I AM’ Presence dead center in that powerful energy. Once you have this numinous experience you know, without a doubt, that heaven is right here where you stand and God, the ‘I AM’ Presence is within each one of us.
We all have within us a tremendous power that unfortunately goes untapped for most of us. It is a healing, creative, life-giving power that is our birthright as children of God. I believe my friend’s son is tapping into that power and energy because he is putting up a good fight and has a strong will to live.
I also believe that all of us who have been holding the space for his healing are tapped into the same energy as well. This powerful healing, loving energy is the ‘I AM’ Presence of God among us and within us and we have all agreed on some level to recognize this within ourselves.
We are all seeing the blessing and miracle that have come forth from the gathering in the name of ‘I AM’ for this young man. Prayers and intentions are being answered and visions are becoming a reality. He is making progress and the situation is looking positive. There is hope for a possible full recovery.
As we are each given the opportunity to witness these kinds of miracles, we are given so many gifts as well. We are given the gift of believing and faith, of hope and joy, of knowing more deeply the powerful beings that we are, and we are given the gift of gratitude for our precious lives and the lives of our loved ones.
As you go about your week, please keep your thoughts and prayers with this young man. The more who are aligned with the vision for his full recovery, the more powerful the energy becomes. Also, remember the miracles that can happen when you join with others who hold the same vision as you in the name of God, the ‘I AM’ Presence residing in each and every one of us.
