The First United Methodist Church and the First Presbyterian Church, both of Glenwood Springs, are joining together to present Beach party ” Surfin’ through the scriptures Vacation Bible School the week of Aug. 4-8.

A vacation bible school open house will be held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, June 19; and from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, June 20, at the Methodist church, 824 Cooper St. This will be an opportunity to take a look at the curriculum, sample snacks, try out craft projects, play a beach party game and ask questions about the program and plans for the week.

There will also be an opportunity to complete a non-binding pre-registration form for children or grandchildren so organizers may get some idea of what attendance will be in August.

Please call Sharon Jensen at 945-6232 with questions.

Pack your gear, get ready to set sail and discover how to live God’s unshakable truth on Outrigger Island! This one-week adventure from July 28 to Aug. 1 is designed for ages 4 to eighth grade (separate VBS for middle schoolers, same time and location). For more information, call 928-8328.
