Local religious briefs

Art & Spirituality, thoughts on art and its relationship to spirituality, will be the focus for The Aspen Chapel worship service, at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 10. Aspen Chapel Gallery artist Cornelia Madsen will be honored. Participating in the service are artists Jennine Hough. Kathy Honea. Alan Roberts; and Gallery co-director Tom Ward; Rev Gregg Anderson, Chaplain, will lead the service. Music will be provided by Susan Nicholson, music director and organist; Harriette Thompson pianist, and Vince Vincent, baritone. Cornelia Madsen will be honored for curating the summer watercolor show for 24 consecutive summers, and having the idea that started the gallery.To get to the Aspen Chapel, use the Castle Creek Road exit from the roundabout to Meadowood Drive.
