Sunday, June 8, New Hope Church’s “Summer Tour ’08” will meet for worship at 9:30 a.m. under the trees at Apple Tree Park. Everyone is invited to a free breakfast starting at 8:30 a.m. provided by the Men of New Hope. An indoor nursery, children’s ministry and restrooms are available. Bring your own blanket and lawn chair, or borrow one for the morning.

Pastor Mark Brazee of World Outreach Church in Tulsa, Okla., will be ministering at New Creation Church of Glenwood at 7 p.m. Friday, June 6 ” Bible School Graduation; 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 7 ” Real Men’s Call to Prayer; and at the 8:30 and 10:30 a.m., and 6 p.m. services Sunday, June 8.

Day camp for children aged 4-12 is coming to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church July 28-Aug. 1. Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 1630 Grand Ave., will provide a Christian Day Camp program including Bible study, worship, crafts, singing, games, fun and an optional raft trip from Grizzly Creek to Two Rivers Park with Blue Sky Adventures. It will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday-Friday.

Songs of Praise will be at Crystal River Baptist Church, 2632 Highway 133 in Carbondale Sunday, June 8, singing the 9:45 and 10:45 a.m. services. This group is a choir group of six ladies from Hyles Anderson College.

The steering committee for Raising the Roof of the Grand Valley Christian Church is seeking one or two more members to round out the committee. Steering committee members Cindy George, Lois Smith, Kelli Stanton, Floyd McDaniel, Steve McKee and Roy Brubaker have devised the project that includes restoration of the original church, are writing grants and planning fundraising events.
