St. Mary of the Crown Church in Carbondale invites all to a pancake breakfast after Sundays mass, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 9. Donations can be made at the door.

Saint Barnabas Episcopal Church, 546 Hyland Park Drive, will host An Advent Service of Lessons & Carols at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8. Child care will be provided and a reception with light refreshments will be offered immediately following the service.A diverse musical program is on tap, with instrumental and choral arrangements alongside opportunities for congregational singing.
