McCrory on ballot for DA’s race

Chip McCrory’s nomination petition to get on the November ballot as an independent in the district attorney’s race has been approved by the Colorado Secretary of State.

McCrory, a Carbondale attorney and former prosecutor in the 9th Judicial District Attorney’s Office for 12 years, will face the incumbent Democrat Sherry Caloia, running for her second term as DA after being elected in 2012, and the Republican challenger Jeff Cheney.
