Chip McCrory, running as an independent, has submitted more than enough petition signatures to get on the ballot for the 9th Judicial District Attorney race. He’ll be running against the Democrat incumbent Sherry Caloia and Republican nominee Jeff Cheney.

Caloia is running for her second term as DA, having been elected to the position in 2012.

McCrory submitted more than 800 signatures to get on the November ballot, whereas state law requires a minimum of 650, he said in an email. The Colorado secretary of state still has until Aug. 4 to validate these signatures.
