New Castle Cub Scouts

Congratulations to all those who participated at the recent Cub Scout district race. New Castle Pack 221 had scouts in the Tiger Cub, Wolf and Bear division compete (first through third grades). Fabian Quintero won first place by a mere 0.005 of a second, and won best design by a Tiger Cub. Josh Bissinger won first place with Ben Peterson just behind him in third place for the Wolf Cubs. Additionally, Ben won second place for best design. Our pack champion, Drake Harcourt, continued his winning ways, and not only won first place for the Bears, but was the grand champion, fastest of the fast, of our district (Summit County, Aspen, Carbondale, Basalt, New Castle, Silt, Rifle, Steamboat Springs, Craig and Meeker). Three first place finishes in the three divisions the Cub Scouts raced in, in addition to the over all grand champion. Pack 221 rocks! (from John Harcourt, New Castle Cub Scouts, Pack 221)
