Minor injuries in I-70 rollover

The driver of an SUV escaped with minor injuries Wednesday afternoon after her vehicle rolled over several times on Interstate 70 near Glenwood Springs.
According to police, the vehicle was westbound on an overpass near exit 116 when it struck the barrier twice, spun sideways and, witnesses said, rolled several times.
The entrance ramp at Sixth and Laurel was closed in both directions while woman was transported to Valley View Hospital and emergency personnel cleared the scene. Cars backed up at least as far as 23rd Street on Grand Avenue and Hanging Lake on I-70, but the road was clear by the time downvalley rush hour began in earnest at 5 p.m.
