The Glenwood Springs Mock Trial team defeated Colorado Academy in the state finals in Golden on Saturday to clinch their sixth time as State Champions. They will go on to compete in the National Tournament.
In mock trial, a team of students competes with other schools to present a real legal case based on testimony from six witness affidavits. This year’s state competition involved an automobile accident with cell phone use by both parties. The case for the national competition will be released on April 1.
Glenwood has previously placed as high as second nationally and is hoping to clinch its first championship in Madison, Wis., from May 8-10.
