New Castle Community Market begins Thursday
The third annual New Castle Community Market begins Thursday, July 10, and runs from 4:30-7:30 p.m. at Burning Mountain Park. It promises to be a great evening for the entire family. Some of the highlights for the first market include a fly fishing demo/lesson with John Harcourt, music by Frog and Toad, the weekly drawing for great gifts, and a long list of vendors:
Eileen Leland’s handmade jewelry, Mother Nature recycled clothing and accessories, Little Hands wood workers, Donna Roberts handcrafted soaps, Juicy Acres Palisade produce, Upper Crust Bakery goods, Blazing K Produce, and, to top it all off, there will be grilled hamburgers and hot dogs, snow cones and popcorn.

Over 75,000 hikers visited Hanging Lake during this year’s peak season. Via signage, the city hopes to point more of those hikers also in the direction of downtown Glenwood Springs.
