NW Colorado Oil and Gas Forum set for Thursday

The quarterly Northwest Colorado Oil and Gas Forum is scheduled for 10 a.m. to noon Dec. 12 at the Colorado Mountain College Rifle Campus, 3695 Airport Road.

Matt Lepore, director of the Colorado Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, will give a presentation about the rulemaking process to rewrite oil and gas spill reporting requirements.

Updates on oil and gas activity and other issues will be presented by Garfield County, the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Forest Service, Community Counts and energy industry representatives.

The forum has met regularly since 1989. Its purpose is to share information about oil and gas development in northwest Colorado and to make government officials and oil and gas industry representatives easily accessible to the public.
