Obituary: Memorial to Lyne Soefker Lehman
Lyne was our friend for 30 years. She unexpectedly died in her sleep at her Cedaredge home. Lyne and I shared Minnesota memories, recipes, decorating ideas and love of dogs. We commiserated about our families and often, she was our marriage mediator. She had a huge heart helping anyone in need often using her own money. Her boundless energy resulted in holding several part-time jobs, a full time job and volunteering at the Cedaredge Animal Rescue Thrift Store. She loved to fish and share her catch with us. She loved snowmobiling, cooking and spending time at her and Jim’s cabin. Her New Year’s Eve bonfires were legendary. We miss her so! With heavy hearts, we say:
Now it’s time to let you go
Your spirit is finally free.
Though you won’t really be gone
Because you’ll live inside of me
— Rollee and Phil Smith
