Set to coincide with “Buy-Local” Saturday, Palisade is all set to host its fifth annual Art & Chocolate Walk. The event will span eight different locations from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 30, and complimentary chocolate is available at every stop.

“It’s a chocolate-lovers dream,” said event organizer and Blue Pig Gallery Director Kay Crane, with cookies, fudge, brownies and candy predicted as tasty treat options.

Shops and art studios participating in the Saturday event include Wedel Pottery Studio, The Blue Pig Gallery, Casual Gal Silversmith, Lavender Lady Gift Shop and Lupita’s Bizarre Bazaar Too, Slice ‘o Life Bakery, Deb’s Funky folk Art and Everything Collectible, according to a recent news release.

“It’s almost all of Palisade, really,” Crane added.

How does it work? Visit a participating shop to pick up a punch card and a map, and then get punches at all eight stops. When you’re done, drop off the fully punched card with a participating vendor for a chance to win “a really nice gift basket,” Crane said, with chocolate and art included.

Joining in the Art & Chocolate Walk in Palisade is another fun way to support local businesses and buy holiday gifts, she noted. The event is free to attend, with gift options ranging from a few dollars to a few hundred, depending on what you want to purchase.
