Sally Rue, owner of Sally's Sacred Grounds Coffee House at 725 Grand Ave. in Glenwood Springs, prepares one the tables in the newly expanded seating area. Last week, Rue reconfigured the counter and doubled the seating from 28 to 56 chairs. For the X Games in Aspen, she plans a marathon opening from 7 a.m. Friday to 10 p.m. Sunday. From 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. during that time, she said Sacred Grounds will feature a special, affordable menu with pizza, wings, bagels and pastries aimed at the younger crowd who often attend the games, along with the shop's standard free Wi-Fi.
