Rep. Rankin appointed to Joint Budget Committee

State Rep. Bob Rankin, R-Carbondale, is the new House Republican member of the Joint Budget Committee. He will replace Rep. Cheri Gerou, R-Evergreen, who is not seeking another term in office.

“Representative Gerou has done an amazing job on the Joint Budget Committee over the last four years, and I’m confident that Representative Rankin will be a strong voice for our values on the committee,” said House Minority Leader Brian DelGrosso, R-Loveland. “Representative Rankin is an advocate for fiscal responsibility, and his experience and intellect will be an asset to the Joint Budget Committee.”

Rankin has previously served on the Agriculture, Livestock and Natural Resources Committee, Local Government Committee and Appropriations Committee in the House and the Joint Technology Committee. He will continue to serve on the House Appropriations Committee as part of his duties on the Joint Budget Committee.
