Reward for information in Parachute robbery

Crime Stoppers of Garfield County is offering up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest of a man who robbed a motel in Parachute last month.

The robber reportedly entered the lobby of the Comfort Inn and Suites wearing a ski mask and bandana. He then allegedly jumped up on the counter, struck the night clerk on the head and instructed her to open the safe and hand over the money.

She complied and the robber then left advising the clerk not to follow. After the robber had left, the clerk called 911 to report the incident. According to the Parachute police department, there was no indication that the robber was armed.

Anyone with information can provide an anonymous tip by calling (970) 945-0101.
