‘Topping out’ party, tour at GSES Friday
The public is invited to a “topping out” ceremony and tour of the Glenwood Springs Elementary School renovation and expansion project at 2 p.m. Friday.
The celebration marks the progress that has been made on the project since the groundbreaking at the end of last school year. “Topping out” signifies the point where the new building is considered “out of the ground” and will allow the community a sneak peak at the work that’s been completed so far.
During the celebration, students and staff will sign a steel beam that will be hoisted into place over the winter break. Attendees will also be treated to cookies and hot cocoa.
