Travel advisory for Glenwood’s 27th Street Bridge Wednesday

Glenwood Springs construction officials anticipate an alternating one-lane closure on the 27th Street Bridge for construction access between 7:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Additionally, ongoing bridge lane closures are to be in place during off peak hours, approximately 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and intermittent holds on South Grand Avenue and Atkinson Trail will remain in effect, the city said in a Tuesday news release.

According to the release, motorists should plan ahead for delays and allow extra time when traveling through the area, especially during peak times.

Business access will remain open and motorists utilizing the area must follow flagger instructions and construction signage, the release also advised.
