TRCS holding family picnic potluck
Two Rivers Community School hosts a family picnic at 6 p.m. today at its renovated location at 195 Center Drive in Glenwood Springs.
Two Rivers is a tuition-free public charter school that will open this fall. The picnic will provide an opportunity for residents to come and ask questions, tour the nearly complete facility, meet the teachers and get to know the families.
It’s a potluck event, with folks whose last names begin with A through G asked to bring a salad, vegetable or fruit; H through O a main dish; P through T a dessert; and U through Z drinks.
The school is also conducting a silverware drive and asking that attendees bring a fork, knife and spoon to use for dinner and to then donate to the school for future use.
