Westbound I-70 through Glenwood Canyon reopens

Westbound traffic on Interstate 70, which had been stopped at Dotsero because of an accident just west of Hanging Lake in Glenwood Canyon since about 3 p.m. Thursday, reopened at about 5:30 p.m., according to a Colorado Department of Transportation alert.

Details about the accident were not available as of 6 p.m.

However, according to the Associated Press, the crash, which happened just before 2:30 p.m., involved multiple tractor-trailers and cars.

Colorado State Trooper Josh Lewis says it’s not clear yet how many vehicles were involved.

No serious injuries have been reported.
