The Downtown Development Authority has contracted with Colorado West Contracting to begin demolition of White Hall. The work is scheduled to begin Monday, June 29, and should be completed within 30 days. This work will include removal of the existing structure on the site and placing structural fill material in the exposed basement portion of the former church building. When complete the site will be clear of all debris, level and ready for re-development.

On June 11, the DDA adopted the Downtown Grand Junction Housing Study prepared by Community Builders, a Project of the Sonoran Institute. The housing study can be downloaded from our website. The DDA continues to pursue housing opportunities in the Downtown Area and would encourage local developers looking to build in the area to view the housing study.
