Woman injured in crash on Indy Pass riding motorcycle
A woman riding a motorcycle Sunday on Independence Pass received minor injuries after hitting a guardrail and tumbling over the side of the road, a Pitkin County sheriff’s deputy said Monday.
The woman took a turn above the Braille Trail too wide and caught the guardrail with one of the pedals on the motorcycle, Deputy Michael Buglione said. That propelled the woman over the guardrail and down about 10 feet into a ravine, he said.
The woman, who was only going 15 to 20 mph, received leg and knee injuries and was taken to Aspen Valley Hospital, he said. The incident occurred about noon, he said.
