Lonnie L. Sandoval

Lonnie Sandoval, 37, of Silt, passed away unexpectedly July 6, 2008.

Lonnie was born March 27, 1971, in Glenwood Springs, to Julian V. and Florence “Tina” (Perea) Sandoval. Lonnie spent his whole life here in the valley and will be missed by many, many people. His passion was his music; he will be remembered by most as the lead vocalist and drummer for Cowboy Attitude, a local band. He also belonged to the First Assembly of God Church in Glenwood Springs.

He is survived by his mother; girlfriend Tina Hoffman; brothers Melvin V. Sandoval of Grand Junction and Ronnie W. Sandoval of Silt; sisters Darlene F. Cardenas of Rifle and Vickie J. Andrade of Silt; nephews Jeremy Velasquez and Lucas Andrade; nieces Dionne Luna, Christina Snowden, Kimberly Wolfe, Veronica Hernandez and Julianna Sandoval; along with numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his father.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Lonnie Sandoval Memorial Fund at American National Bank.

A visitation is planned from 7-9 p.m. Friday, July 11, at the Rifle Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, at Coal Ridge High School.

Pastor Paul Perea and Pastor Jim Brown will officiate.
