Lori Michelle Cain

Lori Michelle Cain, of Silt, Colo., died Monday, April 29, 2002. She was 42.

She was born Feb. 6, 1960, in Anaheim, Calif., to Diane and Emerson Betz.

She worked in the advertising department at the Rocky Mountain News for 17 years. She was an artist, a prolific gardener and a cherished friend to many. Following her death, her organs were donated.



She married Michael Cain.

Mrs. Cain is survived by husband Michael; mother and stepfather Diane and Oscar Reiss; father Emerson Betz; brother David Betz; sister Leann Batchelder; stepchildren Melanie Brooks and Shawn Cain; brothers-in-law Tim and wife Lisa Cain, of New Castle, Colo., and Tom Cain, of Silt; sister-in-law Cheryl and husband Andy DeBerard; cousin Deanna Raso, of Carbondale, Colo.; nieces and nephews Holly Flinner, Andrew Flinner, Tiffany Betz and Taylor Batchelder; and granddaughter Blaise Brooks.



A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, at her and her husband’s home, 888 County Road 225, Rifle.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Family Reunion Program of Cenikor Foundation, 1325 Everett Court, Lakewood, CO 80215.

Arrangements are being handled by Farnum-Holt Funeral Home.
