Lost snowmobilers rescued near Steamboat
STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) ” Rescuers have found a father and son who got lost snowmobiling on Rabbit Ears Pass in northern Colorado.
The 39-year-old man and his 11-year-old son were found in good condition at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, about two hours after they were reported missing.
Tim O’Brien of Routt County Search and Rescue says the temperature was nearing the low single digits and the pair weren’t equipped to be out in that kind of cold.
O’Brien says they had intended to go on a short trip when their snowmobile got stuck.
