Lucy Cordova

Lucy Cordova was born July 21, 1916, in Corrales, N.M., to Juan Gutierrez and Petrita Martinez Gutierrez. She passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2007, at Heritage Park Care Center in Carbondale with her family by her side. She was 90 years old.Lucy was a sweet and gentle woman, and her family was her life. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening.She married Cerilo Cordova and he was her husband until he preceded her in death in 1993.She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan and Petrita (Martinez) Gutierrez; and her husband Cerilo Cordova. She is survived by her sons Tony Cordova and his wife Jean, Andy Cordova, Richard Cordova, Robert Cordova and his wife Carolyn, Orlando Cordova, Fred Cordova and his wife Ruby, and David Cordova and his wife Marty; and her daughters Christine Carpenter and Diane Cordova. She is also survived by her sister Bessie Gutierrez, 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.There will be a viewing on Tuesday, March 13, 2007, at Farnum-Holt Funeral Home, 405 Seventh St., Glenwood Springs, from 6-9 p.m. A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 1885 Blake Ave., Glenwood Springs, at 10 a.m. with burial to follow immediately after in Rosebud Cemetery in Glenwood Springs.Farnum-Holt Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
