Maggie Ann Oliver

Maggie Oliver, 64, died March 3, 2008, after a long battle with cancer.

She was born Sept. 1, 1943, in the small town of Gothenburg, Neb., to Virginia Folker and Raymond Reed. She lost her father at age 3, and spent most of her early childhood in rural Nebraska with her grandparents, John and Margaret Folker. Her mother married Bill Brew, and they soon moved to the Los Angeles in the early 1950s.

She grew up in Montclair and graduated from Montclair High School in 1961.

Maggie married Roger Lowry in 1963. By 1971, they had moved to the Grand Junction area and bought a farm in Loma.

She met Ted Oliver in 1976, and they married in December 1977.

After moving about and experiencing several towns in Western Colorado, they moved back to Grand Junction in 2006, where she lived out the remainder of her life.

Survivors include her husband; and daughters Sara and Jessica Oliver; all of the Grand Junction area.

She will live in our thoughts forever and a day.

Cremation has taken place and no services are planned at this time.
