‘Making History of Our Own’ to debut under the stars

The valley’s youth is flashing back to the past in a new documentary debuting at History Under the Stars in Glenwood Springs. After live music by Still Twitchin’ and T. Ray Becker at Tuesday’s Farmers Market, True Media Foundation presents “Making History of Our Own” at dusk in Centennial Park. True Media, a non-profit youth mentoring organization founded by Carbondale videographer Christopher Tribble, enlisted the help of 15 youth from Carbondale to Rifle who spent the summer working on the historical presentation. “A crucial aspect of this summer project is the youth who have worked on this video, learning all aspects of video production while creating a historical legacy of our region,” said Debbi Cerri, of Versatile Productions, in a press statement. “History Under the Stars celebrates the lives and livelihood of Garfield County pioneers – individuals and families who helped create and shape the communities of Garfield County.”The public is invited to bring low chairs and blankets to Centennial Park to enjoy the presentation under the evening stars.
