Man dies after car crashes into Colorado Springs home

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – One man is dead after the car he was driving struck several objects before slamming into the garage of a Colorado Springs home.

Police say a car driven by 22-year-old Terrence Webster hit a Jeep and struck a large tree about 2:15 a.m. Monday, then crashed into a nearby garage.

Webster died at the scene.

One person who was inside the home at the time escaped injury.

Authorities say excessive speed is a possible factor in the crash.

The accident remains under investigation.
