Man dies in Front Range dune buggy accident

AULT, Colorado – The Weld County Sheriff’s Department says one man is dead and another is fighting for his life after a dune buggy they were riding in flipped over west of Ault.

Undersheriff Margie Martinez says a 45-year-old man was flown by helicopter to North Colorado Medical Center in Greeley. She says a 36-year-old man was dead at the scene near Weld County Road 23 and Colo. 14.

Martinez says the men were in the dune buggy when it made a sharp turn and rolled over around 7:30 p.m. The vehicle rolled on to one of the men.

Martinez did not give the men’s names.
