What’s the appeal of ice fishing? This is only the second time I’ve ever gone. It’s really hard to get the fish. But I caught a 24-inch rainbow trout last time.

How do you keep warm? I wear lots of clothes

What’s the best fishing spot? Over by the rocks. I caught another 23-inch trout there.

What’s the appeal of ice fishing? It’s not the warmth, I’ll tell you that. It’s friendship and fishing.

What was the coldest day you ever had ice fishing? Up in Sweetwater. It was 10 below zero. That’s not so fun.

How do you keep warm? Lots of clothes. The key to staying warm though, is to keep your feet warm.

What is your favorite fishing beverage? Beer, whatever someone gives me

What’s the best fishing spot? The Colorado River and the Roaring Fork in the summer.

What’s the biggest fish you’ve ever caught through the ice? A 25-inch cutthroat.

What’s your favorite bait? I like minnows. You have to use dead ones here”state law.

What was the coldest day you ever had ice fishing? Oh god, 20 below on Lake Hattie in Wyoming.

How do you keep warm? Dress in layers and wear warm boots. If your feet are warm, you can keep warm.

What is your favorite fishing beverage? Budweiser

What’s the best fishing spot? Close to structure and about two feet off the ground.

What’s your favorite bait? I hate to tell you. It’s the eyes of that fish there ” the perch.

What was the coldest day you ever had ice fishing? Probably back in Wisconsin. It was 10 below and the wind chill was 40 below.

How do you keep warm? Hand warmers. You can stuff ’em in your glove, in your socks, in the top of your hat.

What is your favorite fishing beverage? Beer

What’s the best fishing spot? Where nobody else is.
