Man robbed of $330 downtown

By Greg MasséPost Independent StaffGLENWOOD SPRINGS – A man told police four men assaulted and robbed him last Monday in an alley between Cooper and Blake avenues. The man, who police did not identify, said he was walking through the alley when four men “rolled him.” He said they took $330 before leaving him there. “The guy said they jumped him from behind and started hitting him in the face,” Glenwood Springs police chief Terry Wilson said. The man told police he didn’t have a good description of the four assailants. “He did get thumped,” Wilson said. “He was bleeding from the mouth, he had a mark on his eye and a scrape on his elbow.”The attack marked the second time someone was attacked downtown during the last half of August. Three men were stabbed downtown on Aug. 20. There are no suspects in either of the attacks. Contact Greg Massé: 945-8515, ext.
